Seeds for Breakthrough
Today I found myself thinking back to the years from 2010-2012; I was so heartbroken, depressed, and completely filled with sadness. Only those closest to me could see that my once bright light had become a mere glimmer (sometimes a glimmer is all you need but that’s another conversation). I thought that all I hoped for was dead and I was insistent on burying myself in my work to forget about my feelings.
But the TRUTH is what I thought was death was truly just the beginning of life. See being buried and being planted look just alike. What I thought was a burial because something ended was really a planting of something beautiful that I couldn’t see because we never see what happens beneath the dirt.
While I was staring at the ground crying and praying in the midnight hour I did not realize that my tears were watering my hearts desires and that glimmer of light inside me was enough to produce. Everything changed and I was so afraid but you can’t get growth without change.
Today when I look at my life I recognize the fruit of the things I put in the ground that I didn’t recognize were seeds.
If you are in this season today I leave you with this:
- You need friends that can remind you of who you are and what you are made of when you have forgotten. Find your tribe and Lean on them.
- Focus on what is going right. Gratitude will help you shift your energy. Remember that what you focus on is what you strengthen.
- The place where you feel the most broken can be the beginning of your restoration. Even in the word breakthrough, the BREAK comes before for the THROUGH. Hold onto your glimmer of light even when you feel the most broken and it will show you the way through.
I praise God for the process.
